David Ian Sound Effects

David often has dilemmas deciding if various objects should be stored in kitchen drawers or in the sound effects closet. He has done sound effects and voice work for projects which have won national awards with Willamette Radio Workshop (“HURF” Silver Ogle Award 2006 and “The Confessions of Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde” Gold Ogle Award 2005) and with Imagination X (“The CONvergence” Gold Mark Time Award 2003). In 2003 he won Portland’s Drammy Award for his sound effects design and performance in Tapestry Theatre’s 1943 Christmas From Home stage production. When David is not pulling duty as Artistic Director of Unchained Productions, he’s doing live Foley performances with WRW, and for Filmusik’s live/film hybrid productions. He has also done Foley work with Opera Theatre Oregon, NW Academy, Film Action Oregon and Master’s Image Productions.
