Live Wire Seeks Marketing Associate 

Live Wire seeks a part-time (20 hrs/wk) Marketing Associate to help expand and engage our audiences, in Portland and across the country. The Marketing Associate will support the Development Director in implementing strategy to promote Live Wire’s brand and drive growth in ticket revenue, podcast and broadcast listenership, and listener engagement. This position will manage Live Wire’s digital communications, social media presence, advertising, and additional promotional efforts.


The Marketing Associate is responsible for implementation of an integrated marketing plan that includes:

  • Managing Live Wire’s marketing and communications including copy, graphic design, and content creation.

  • Email marketing campaigns and newsletters to engage local and national audiences with organization programming.

  • Social media strategy, including content development, account management (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook), and data tracking to achieve quantifiable audience growth.

  • Promotional efforts for live tapings including advertisements, posters, social media, community partnerships, and additional digital marketing strategies.

  • Creating marketing materials and graphics for Live Wire’s programming to be used online and in print.

  • Building strategic relationships with the press, community organizations, and other partners to build awareness about live recordings, broadcast, and podcast.

  • Updating and managing Live Wire’s website content.

  • Working with Development Director on overall communication strategies for Live Wire’s programming including live show, podcast, and broadcast.



  • 2+ years experience in marketing, communications or related field.

  • Excellent writing skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate using a defined brand voice.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful print, broadcast, online and social media marketing campaigns.

  • Proven success with overseeing day-to-day marketing activities, project management, social media, and data analysis.

  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Highly organized, self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects on fixed deadlines.

  • Passion for media, arts, and culture.

  • Sense of humor and ability to work collaboratively.
