Confessions from Star Trek: TNG and Geek King Wil Wheaton, poet Kevin Young versifies all over us, and music from 3/5 of the Decemberists known as Black Prairie.
Wil Wheaton is an actor and writer best know for his roles on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Stand By Me, The Big Bang Theory, The Guild, and, of course, Toy Soldiers.
Authored seven of his own books of poetry and edited eight others. His book The Grey Album: On the Blackness of Blackness won the 2013 PEN Open Award. His latest book of poetry, Book of Hours, is on NPR's list of the Best Poetry of 2014.
Black Prairie is a five-piece bluegrass-influenced band from Portland, Oregon featuring members of The Decemberists, Jackstraw and Bearfoot and The Woolwines. Member Chris Funk describes their sound as "bridging the music of Clarence White and Ennio Morricone." Their new albumn, Fortune, drops April 22.
