We talk with cartoonist Peter Bagge about WOMAN REBEL, his unexpected profile of birth control pioneer Margaret Sanger; author Karen Karbo brings us JULIA CHILD RULES to live by, and we rock out with Old Light, a four-piece band who just released a box set on cassette tape.

Peter Bagge 
Peter Bagge is a cartoonist whose work has ranged from the Alt Comics scene in the 1980's to more mainstream work with publishers like Vertigo and Dark Horse Comics. He's best known for the comics "Hate" and "Neat Stuff", as well as the more recent "Apocalypse Nerd" and "Other Lives."

Karen Karbo
Author of 14 award-winning novels, memoirs and works of non-fiction including the best-selling "Kick Ass Women" series. Her latest book Julia Child Rules is out this month. Others in this series include: How Georgia Became O'Keefe, The Gospel According to Coco Chanel and How to Hepburn.  Her short stories, essays, articles and reviews have appeared in Elle, Vogue, Esquire, Outside, O, More, The New Republic, The New York Times, Salon and other magazines.

Old Light
