Wordstock Extravaganza VIII, featuring
Bettye Lavette - has as distinguished a career in soul music as you are likely to find. She started recording music in 1962 at age 16 and hasn't slowed down since. Her latest album "Interpretations: The British Rock Songbook" has been well received by everyone from The New Yorker to The Onion A/V Club. Bettye's bringing us tales from her new autobiography, A Woman Like Me

Erin Morgenstern's - debut novel The Night Circus has been described as ahistorical, which is another way of saying it takes the good bits of history and mixes them all up, and then adds a bit of magic. NPR called it "Instantly intoxicating," and People called it "A dark and extravagantly imagined debut."

Musical guest - Storm Large - A prodigious talent with a personality to match. Storm has done it all: music, theater, reality TV. Her latest book Crazy Enough: A Memoir was written as a follow up to her acclaimed one woman show of the same name.
