Susan Orlean - Veteran staff writer for The New Yorker and author of The Orchid Thief and New York Times bestseller Rin Tin Tin. Memorably portrayed by Meryl Streep in the film Adaptation, itself an adaptation of Orchid Thief. Gosh Meryl's such a good actress. Really inhabits the role. See if you can tell the difference.

Musical guests - The Portland Cello Project - The Portland Cello Project is the band least in need of a descriptive paragraph. There are cellos. The cellos are in Portland. It's something of a project, you could say. But boy, what cellos. Playing a huge range of music with a cavalcade of impressive musical guests, the Portland Cello Project has become a musical institution in, well you know, Portland and John Roderick - Frequent Live Wire guest (it even says so on his Wikipedia page), John was good then and he'll be good now. He's palled around with nerds the likes of John Hodgman, Jonathan Coulton, and They Might Be Giants. If you don't know who those people are, a) look them up and b) please deduct 10 Nerd Points from your final score.
